Project Description

This project was a cooperation and cost-sharing agreement with the City of Eagle for construction of wider sidewalks along Eagle Road, between Plaza Drive and Idaho Street, and along State Street, between Olde Park and 2nd Street.  The project will include construction of 10-foot wide sidewalks, where possible on both sides of the street, street trees planted in Silva Cells, historic lights, public art, benches & amenities, brick/concrete pavers, irrigation, electrical conduit, and lighting installation.   The project will also include conduit sleeves for City utilities including, but not limited to fiber optics within the paver section of the sidewalk.

This project will be done at the same time ACHD will construct the Downtown Eagle Mobility Improvements for Eagle Road and State Street.  The goal of the street network improvements is to improve safety and mobility for all users while accommodating future traffic growth and creating a welcoming downtown environment.

Construction is tentatively scheduled for the fall of 2022.
